In perfumery Sandalwood is also successfully used to highlight the strength of the other flavours, even when it is in small quantities. It can be used both as a note in fragrance and in its pure form as well.
Sandalwood is used for physical ailments, as a flavour for food, and for raising mood and reducing nervous tension and anxiety. The fragrance is a woody scent that is mild and sweet.
Sandalwood’s sedative properties are good for for enhancing meditation, reducing mental stress treating depression, OCD and Panic Attacks.
The therapeutic properties of Sandalwood are antiphlogistic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, carminative, diuretic, emollient, expectorant, sedative and tonic.
