The garlic plant comes to us in the form of bulb that is generally called a head. This head is divided up into cloves which are fleshes wedges enclosed within a thin filament. Garlic has long been in use as traditional remedy for a variety of ailments.
It is inexpensive if you eat it raw, and costs a little more if you buy the capsules (capsules won’t have the smell-factor associated with garlic). If you use it raw or buy odour-free capsules, it certainly costs a whole lot less than a visit to the doctor. Known as a natural penicillin, it is used as an anti-bacterial and an anti-fungal. This means you can use it for coughs, colds, and any type of infection throughout the body. Raw, crushed garlic cloves provide a more potent anti-biotic than penicillin. It can be used to treat many infections, such as yeast, bacterial and fungal infections and strep throat, as well as ear infections.
