In the past and even today, lemons have been used as a natural remedy to treat various ailments. As a traditional remedy, lemons were highly regarded for their healing powers. In fact the Romans were known to use lemons as an antidote for all kinds of poisons.

Anti-bacterial properties of lemons make these fruits very effective for treating various throat infections, including tonsillitis, sore throat, colds and others. Mix Fresh Lemon with 100 ml of warm water and gargle once per 4-5 hours. In addition, Lemon can relieve fever and reduce body temperature.

Foot odour is another quite common and very embarrassing problem, which has many very effective natural solutions. Regular soaking your feet in a mixture of 50-70 g of Lemon juice and warm water is another natural way to avoid the odour. Alternatively soak a cotton ball in lemon juice and rub your feet twice per day and your hands even longer.

Morning sickness is a fairly common ailment among pregnant women. Just sniffing at the juice or the peel of a lemon is enough to stop the morning sickness. Fresh lemon juice squeezed into pure water reduces or gets rid of morning sickness.

Research has shown that lemon balm has a calming effect and therefore may be able to help remove fatigue, exhaustion, dizziness, anxiety, nervousness, and tension. If you’re feeling tense sprinkle a few drops of lemon balm essential oil on a handkerchief to inhale.

Several studies have found that lemon balm combined with other calming herbs (such as valerian, hops, and chamomile) helps reduce anxiety and promote sleep.
